Follow the heart: Charitable Foundation “New Revival of Ukraine”

Гру10,2024

In times of war, volunteering has become an integral part of Ukrainian life, showcasing remarkable unity and dedication. Today, everyone finds their place: some bear arms, others raise funds, evacuate, or assist the army and civilians affected by the war.

On International Volunteer Day, the Department of Public Communications of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) presented a photo exhibition “Volunteering: Light in the Darkness,” highlighting those who help with heart and soul. The exhibition features 100 photographs, each telling a story of courage, compassion, and belief in victory.

The photos capture the most active volunteers who, from the onset of the full-scale invasion, have supported the front lines, provided aid to the wounded, displaced individuals, as well as children and animals affected by the war.

Julia Tsepun, Head of the Charitable Foundation “New Revival of Ukraine,” noted: “Our foundation actively participates in programs for the psychological and physical rehabilitation of Ukrainian defenders and their families. Five of our projects are showcased at the exhibition, as helping veterans is one of today’s most important tasks.”

Kateryna Shershnova, Deputy Head of the Foundation, shared her impressions: “This is an incredible exhibition, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to collaborate. It is important to pause and appreciate how much has been accomplished. The exhibition features photos of our initiatives, including canistherapy and aquatic rehabilitation.”

Ukrainian volunteering has inspired people worldwide, encompassing areas such as support for military personnel, psychological assistance to families of the fallen, and integration of displaced persons.

Note:

The Charitable Foundation “New Revival of Ukraine,” established in 2015, promotes the psychological and physical rehabilitation of Ukrainian defenders and their families and preserves the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred/ATO/OOS. The foundation’s volunteers actively promote canistherapy, organize festivals, lectures, and workshops, and train dogs to become therapists. The foundation’s initiatives aim to develop a pet-friendly culture and foster harmonious relationships with the environment and the emotional well-being of Ukrainians.
